The Image of V.I. Lenin and Its Transformation in Soviet Art Cinema

Abstract. Soviet cinema are analyzed in this article. The Soviet cinema was the most important channel of ideological influence of power on society, covering the widest possible audience. We will trace by what means and under what influence the Leninist image – one of the pillars of the Soviet ideological paradigm – was formed. We will also try to find out what kind of ideological message the Soviet ideological machine, filmmakers tried to convey through the prism of the Leninist image to the mass audience. The main source of research, which determines the scientific novelty of the research, is directly the feature films dedicated to the life and political struggle of Vladimir Lenin. So, each of the conventional epochs of Soviet history Stalin, “ottepel’”, “zastoy”, “perestroika” created “their own” Lenin, who served as a kind of political symbol and also a kind of creator of this era.
