Abstract. Roads are one of the markers of Roman presence i n the conquered territories. Miliarium is an object that dates the period of construction and life of roads, as well as the route. This work is about the discovery of miliarium, its introduction into scientific circulation and the interpretation of the find in the context of other similar finds in the microregion, part of the Roman province of Syria, and the possible reconstruction of part of the Roman road in the west of Palmyra.
