Abstract. The history of Soviet hospitals during the Great Patriotic War and its reflection in the memory of the participants in the events have not been sufficiently studied. The purpose of the article is to identify the representation of the history of Hospital No. 1602 in the memoirs of nurse Alexandra Ivanovna Zvonareva. The authors relied on the modern research approaches to the problems of historical memory and the specifics of reflection of the Great Patriotic War in it. The study is based on the memoirs and personal documents of A.I. Zvonareva, and other historical and historiographic sources. The methods of logical and source analysis, deconstruction, comparative historical and narrative methods were used. The study allowed us to characterize the circumstances of the creation and stages of the history of hospital No. 1602 in 1941–1945; analyze the relationship between the events of the war years and the practice of their subsequent representation; eliminate errors and contradictions in the biography of A.I. Zvonareva herself and assessments of her work in existing publications.
