“Want More and Going to Go Next”: to the Jubilee of I.N. Danilevsky

Abstract. The article is an interview with the famous medieval historian, the author of more than two hundred scientific works on the history of Ancient Rus’, the source study, methodology and methodology of historical research, member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Novoe Proshloe / The New Past” Igor Nikolaevich Danilevsky. The interview was held on May 18, 2018, on the eve of the 65th anniversary of I.N. Danilevsky. The interviewer A.V. Korenevsky during the conversation asked I.N. Danilevsky questions concerning the reasons for the choice of the historian’s profession, about his studies at the Rostov State University, scientific research and plans for the future. Igor Nikolayevich also shared a rich teaching experience, which at the present stage is realized within the framework of the innovative master’s program for history teachers at the Higher School of Economics.
