Abstract. The article provides an overview of the All-Russian Scientific Conference “Soviet Temporality: an anthropological and socio-cultural dimension”, which was held in Rostov-on-Don on July 4–5, 2024. The conference was organized by the Institute of History and International Relations of the Southern Federal University and the Branch of the Russian Historical Society (RIO) in the Rostov region, 74 researchers from different regions of the Russian Federation and neighboring countries. The purpose of the conference was to discuss the theoretical problems of studying the “Soviet” in the framework of interdisciplinary approaches, Sovietism as a historical phenomenon and ideas about the socio-cultural type of Soviet man, culture and science, the national policy of the USSR, Soviet everyday life in the socio-cultural dimension and the specifics of historical memory of the Soviet past.
