VIII International Golden Horde forum “Pax Tatarica: medieval sources and historical context” (Kazan — Bolgar, June 9–11, 2025)

Abstract. The paper is a survey of the 8th International Golden Horde Forum which was held in Bolgar and Kazan form 9th to 11th of June, 2025. The Forum was organized by the Institute of History named after Sh. Marjani, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the support of the Bolgar Islamic Academy. Within the framework of the Forum a series of scientific, organizational and methodological events took place. The participants discussed a wide circle of problems in the history of the Golden Horde as well as other Turkic and Mongol states of Eurasia in the Middle and Modern Ages. Substantial attention was paid for the source studies, especially for prospects of the research of the epic legacy of nomadic peoples of Eurasia.
