Abstract. The article deals with the 55th Anniversary of one of the Journal Editorial member Andrey Korenevsky. He has been connecting with the Institute of History since entering to the Faculty of History as a student in 1978. His PhD (kandidatskaya) dissertation defended in 1995 was devoted to Byzantine influence on Russian religious ideas in fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Korenevsky’ recent academic interests are connected with work of Arnold Joseph Toynbee and his ideas about Russian history.  During many years in his teaching activity Andrey Korenevsky deals with courses on History of the World Religions. The class has been a subject of interest for students from history, IR and other programmes. Although last few years he has taught a lot of classes for BA and MA students his favorite project is Programme of Interdisciplinary Individual Education in Humanities. This programme attracts students from all Humanities faculties and institutes of the University and other academic establishments including foreign universities. Andrey Korenevsky is also an initiator and organiser of many Summer and Winter Schools with the umbrella title ‘Text Archeology’.
