Abstract. This review contains information about the first international conference on history and culture of Armenians in Russia in 18-20s centuries on the basis of the Central Archive Department of the Moscow region. Leaders of the Russian and Novo-Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church also took an active part in organizing conference. The conference was attended not only by representatives of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but Vladikavkaz, Voronezh, Kislovodsk, Perm, Pyatigorsk, Rostov-onDon, Saratov, Togliatti and other cities of Russia. An outstanding delegation came from the Republic of Armenia, which included leaders of the National Archive of Armenia. The nature and content of the conference has ordained most of the declared reports, which are mainly focused on the analysis of various archives and materials containing important information on history and culture of Armenians of Russia. After the plenary session participants were divided into sections, in which dozens of different reports were presented. The conference proceedings were published at the very beginning of the conference, so participants were able to get familiar with the subject and content of the planned actions.
