Cooperation of Russia and Europe in the Conditions of Digitalization. International Scientific and Practical Conference “Economic and Social Aspects of Development of the Concept ‘Industry 4.0’: Europe-Russia Dialogue”

Abstract. The article presents a review of the international scientific and practical conference “Economic and social aspects of concept development” “Industry 4.0: Dialogue Europe-Russia”, hosted in June 8th, 2018 in the Saint-Petersburg House-Estate of G.D. Derzhavin. The event was aimed at discussing the trends and prospects for the development of the digital society and the strategy “Industry 4.0” in the framework of socio-economic, political, educational and cultural interaction between Russia and European Union states. The peculiarity of the conference was its interdisciplinary nature, an attempt to unite scientists from different fields of expertise, entrepreneurs, statesmen of Russia and European Union to form an expert and communication platform for discussing problems and prospects of digitalization and its impact on various aspects of cooperation between Russia and the EU. As a result, recommendations announced for business, government agencies, Russian academic community and European Union states in order to build effective systems of interaction in the new socio-economic conditions. The Saint-Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics organized and coordinated this scientific and practical conference.
