Abstract. The article is devoted to memories of the author on encounters with Lorina Petrovna Repina (born 29.09.1947), whose anniversary falls in 2017. L.P. Repina is a historian, specialist in the field of methodology of history, historiography and the intellectual history of Western Europe. Since 1999 she holds the post of Deputy Director in the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, she is also the Head of the Russian Society of Intellectual History. Among her research interests and achievements is worth noting numerous works on methodology of history, gender history, historical urban studies, etc.
