The Model of securitization is introduced in the article. It is elaborated through the analysis of correspondence between collective memory, idea of security and identity. The author argues that the development of Critical security studies and collective memory studies during the last few decades caused a synergetic effect and produced the basis for a new Model of securitization. Collective memory is considered as the main element of the security meanings. The level of security in this Model can be measured by official indicators and personal feelings, and it is connected with different forms of identity and types of memory shaping. The Triangle of securitization which is realization of the Model is formed by S-point (Security), M-point (Memory), and I-point (Identity). It forms the Securitization field which consists of public reminiscences and ideas of security. All of this is connected with a type of political regime. The author emphasizes the constructivist character of collective memory and idea of security, and the fact that link between memory, security and identity can’t be broken. He concluded that historians are responsible not only for the image of the past but also for the public security consciousness.
