Abstract. The article is a review of the international scientific conference “Actual problems of parliamentarism: history and modernity (XI Tavricheskie chteniya – 2017)”. The conference was organized in St. Petersburg in December 7–8, 2017. Tavricheskie chteniya is the annual scientific conference, held by the Center for the History of Parliamentarism of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States since 2007. In 2017, the organizers accentuated the 100th anniversary of the revolution in Russia. Researchers attended the conference from leading scientific and educational centers in Russia, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference included both traditional work within the framework of the sectional sessions (the organizers identified 9 thematic sections) and a general discussion on the topic “Had a Chance the Russian Parliamentarism in 1917?” On the second day of the conference author’s presentations of novelties on the revolution in Russia in 1917 took place, as well as an excursion around the exhibition “The Tavrichesky Palace and the events of 1917”. Following the results of the conference in 2018, the publication of an article collection is planned.
