Regional Aspects of Memory Politics in Russia

Abstract. The article discusses some methodological questions of research of regional dimention of memory politics in Russia. Principles of framing the studied regions, dependency on current administrative map in framing regions for research, inadequacy of classification of mnemonic actors as federal and local, factors which determine specific features of repertoire of usable past in various regions are discussed.
